Wi-Fi Sensing is an advanced wireless technology that detects motion and presence by analyzing how existing Wi-Fi signals are affected by movement within a space. It leverages Channel State Information (CSI) analysis to monitor changes in amplitude, phase, and frequency response across the Wi-Fi channel. These fine-grained signal variations—caused by human motion—are interpreted using machine learning and signal processing algorithms to generate real-time, privacy-preserving insights. Wi-Fi Sensing requires no cameras, wearables, or additional hardware, making it a scalable and non-intrusive solution for applications in smart home security, eldercare, and health monitoring.
